RELIGION & DEVELOPMENT DATABASE

Religious communities play a key role in global development, but we know too little about their approaches and contributions.

The Religion and Development Database tracks the activities of religious groups across a range of development issues, including poverty relief, health care, education, water, housing, and gender. The database is designed as source of knowledge for scholars, students, citizens, and practitioners committed to meeting global development challenges. It features manuals, reports, speeches, statements, program descriptions, and planning documents that users can filter, search, view, and compare.

The Religion and Development Database is a joint project of the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Now in a start-up phase, it will be expanded in months to come to include expert commentary and overviews of key issues, organizations, initiatives, and events.

Please send comments and suggestions to the Religion and Development team.
